Rebekah Wagoner

Luke and Rebekah Wagoner are co-founders of Wagoner Family Health Clinic. They both have a heart for serving their community and providing quality patient-centered healthcare to their patients. They understand that optimizing healthcare outcomes requires fostering trusting relationships to partner with their patients in meeting their healthcare goals and increasing access to quality healthcare. The success of our practice will be in providing quality healthcare with a holistic approach to a culturally diverse population. Holistic healthcare is a common concept in nursing care. It addresses the whole person (patient) and is patient-centered. Holistic healthcare integrates promoting health and managing disease by looking beyond only the medical aspects of care but also acknowledging the patient’s prior experiences and the individual's cultural, social, and spiritual values. In doing so, the provider and patient are able to foster a trusting relationship that allows for the development of a patient-centered treatment plan that enhances patient health outcomes.

Both Luke and Rebekah spent years living in Mexico, where they were immersed into Mexican culture and learned Spanish, giving them a broader understanding of the Hispanic culture. As Spanish speakers, they are both delighted to be offering healthcare services to the local Hispanic population.

They both moved to Nacogdoches, Texas, in 2006 and started serving the community in the primary care and mental healthcare setting. They have adored living in East Texas and raising their children in Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas. As a family, they enjoy attending local activities such as the Annual Blueberry Festival, the Multicultural Festival, and Family Kite Fest. On Saturday mornings, they appreciate shopping at the local Farmers Market. During the soccer season, you will find them at the Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex, coaching and watching their kids play soccer for the Nacogdoches Youth Soccer Association. Also, Luke and Rebekah stay active by getting their touches in on the soccer field playing in the Nacogdoches Civic Center Adult Soccer League. Lastly, they serve as active members of Calvary Baptist Church since 2006, where they have engaged in outreach projects to serve the Nacogdoches community and are blessed to have a caring, supportive church family.

They are proud to call Nacogdoches their home. And as family nurse practitioners with a broad range of healthcare experience, they are beyond thrilled to be increasing access to quality patient-centered healthcare services in their community and partnering with your family to meet your healthcare goals.
